Criteria

The scholarship is an annual $5,000 award for women residing in British Columbia who are enrolled in, accepted to, or returning to a Business or Finance program at an accredited BC institution. For your students, this means any graduating young woman who has been accepted to a BC business or finance program (or is expected to be accepted) is eligible to apply. The award is open to both high school graduates and current post-secondary students, and is paid directly to the institution toward the recipient’s tuition.

Procedure
The deadline falls in November, so this is one that grads and Grade 12 students with early acceptances can apply for in the fall. To apply, students submit a personal essay (500 to 750 words), proof of enrollment or acceptance, one reference letter from a teacher, employer, or community leader, and a current transcript to womeninbusiness@capitalwest.ca.
